I remember one day at the mall with my parents. While they were shopping, something caught my eye. I wandered off, not realizing that I had lost sight of mom and dad. When I realized it, I was terrified. It was a time before cell phones, and I was a child. How was I going to find my parents? I felt like I was going to be lost forever.

As an adult, life is overwhelming. We find ourselves lost in overly demanding schedules. It can seem like we have no way out of our stress. We are lost, and we need to be rescued.

That day at the mall, my dad found me and took my hand. My fears left instantly. God, our Father in heaven, does the same for us throughout our life. “Even to your gray hairs, I will carry you!” he reminds us gently in Isaiah 46:4.

When you are feeling lost, call out to God. In Him you will find rescue.
